Woooo another Gmarket delivery arrived!  This time I received the Hera Mist Cushion which I ordered like a week ago and it came with box of samples too :) Love unexpected surprises! (although in Korea samples are very common hehe)

For those of you who have not heard of Hera before, it's a really popular Korean cosmetics brand - in particular, their skincare products are very popular with women of all ages! Their packaging is quite stylish as well.

Anyways, so this Hera Mist Cushion is heralded as the new "it" foundation product that's like selling off Korean shelves like CRAZY.  I tried so hard to get my hands on one and finally I found one seller on Gmarket which had ONE C23 left in stock. Obviously I did not hesitate and bought it right there and then for a price around A$46 (incl. postage)!  And the best thing is....it comes with a refill as well :) What a bargain!

So what is the big fuss about this Mist Cushion? Well, it meant to have 5 "functions" in 1 - mist, foundation, sunscreen, whitening and cooling.  It's made of 30% "mineral clay water" so it's hydrating and at the same time, shown to reduce 2 degrees off your facial temperature! For someone who always gets hot flushes, this sounded super promising :) There are 3 types of Mist Cushions: Natural, Shimmer and Cover (Natural has 2 colours, N21 and N23, Shimmer has one, N22 and Cover has two, C21 and C23).  Although I'm pretty white here, in Korea I'm always shade 23 which is the darker shade.

The sponge applicator is a dark blue and looks / feels different to the usual sponges we see with our powder foundations.  This is because it has been specially made just for the Mist Cushion.

The most unique thing about the Mist Cushion is the actually texture of the product itself.  It's definitely not powder - you could say it was more of a mousse type product...but it's not really a mousse either!  When you put the product on using the puff it actually feel very soft and moist and also looks soft and moist - I was actually surprised at the amount of coverage it provided without showing the dry patches on my skin (because powders tend to do that!).

So what do I think of the Hera Mist Cushion so far?

Well, I could definitely see what the fuss in Korea was about - it's moist, it covers well and has 5 functions for the price of one! Definitely worth the purchase :)

And now for the samples :) As I've mention before, I love samples!  It's because my skin tends to be quite sensitive so some products make me breakout...so I always "try before I buy" if possible. The Hera Aquabolic line is aimed at those with normal to dry skin and is meant to hydrate your skin so that it looks moist, not dull and lifeless - especially during winter.

I also had the opportunity to sample the new Lindemans Sweet Seasons series at my local liquor store. The new range is a "light wine" range which is meant to be 25% lower in alcohol and in calories!! OOH LA LA, I heard my inner self say.  The one that caught my attention out of the three that I tried was the Blancello - it was light, refreshing and slightly sweet with a floral taste.

I'm really glad that they're coming up with these "light" wines which are lower in calorie because sometimes you want to be able to drink a whole bottle of wine without thinking about how many calories it has! (as alcohol = calories).

Anyways peeps, I'm off to sleep because I have to wake up early for a brekkie date with my workmates at 9am at the Hilton (meaning I have to wake up before 8....! Eeeek!)

Lots of exciting posts coming up so stay tuned! *wink* xx

Hello peeps!

Today I received another box of goodies from Gmarket (to brighten up my Monday - such great timing!)

Here are some of my purchases:

The best thing is that all these only cost like $76 altogether including shipping!  I find it so hard to buy things in shops now...because I look at a $80 blouse at Forever New and think "hmmmm I could buy 4 blouses for this price!" (although it still doesn't stop me buying things that I love at first sight :P)

I also received the Revlon Lip Butter that I ordered from Ebay not long ago.  These Lip Butters are the quite the hit at the moment in Australia (I went to Priceline a week ago to buy one and they were SOLD OUT!) but they're also super pricey - A$21.95 each!  After reading countless US blogs which kept talking about how they were like US$7 a pop (US $7.49 on Ulta.com...too bad they don't ship to Aus), I was like "do I really want to pay $22 for these?".  And where I do I go to solve these problems? YES, EBAYYYYYYY!

So I ended up paying around $11.50 for this one from "Surf'n'Junkie" on Ebay.

The colour is soooo pretty! :) I'm really liking the dark rose pink kind of colour these days - I recently bought a Clarins lipstick (A$44) in "Tea Rose" and think its such a lovely, yet classy colour - and it goes on a smoothly too and lasts for a decent time (so I guess its worth the $44!)

You can see that the Clarins one is a little more pinky-er and lighter than the lip butter - so I am very happy to have both lippies in my collection!

I also did a little bargain hunting today and found a little treasure of a clutch hiding in the sale section of Sportsgirl :) I noticed it under a bunch of other bag and thought "ooooh very stylish" and looked at the price tag and OMG it was $9.95!!! (originally $39.95) - so I just had to buy it.

they also gave you a long strap as well so that you can wear it as a side bag :) as you can see the strap was a tad bit long so I had to make a knot to shorten it :P

So today was a very happy Monday :)

p.s. are the pictures coming out elongated on your screen? if so, leave me a comment and I shall look into it! xx

Today at work I was told I looked like a schoolgirl - I guess that is a compliment given that I'm turning 24 soon.

I asked why - and apparently it was because of this blouse I was wearing:

I bought it off ASOS for $53.06 and I love it! I wear it quite often :P

I have also admit that nearly every day after work I drop into the Priceline which is near my bus stop and browse around to see if there's anything I "need" (just an excuse).

Today I found out that there was a deal on at Priceline for Bourjois (Spend $19 or more and receive a mascara and lip gloss worth $42 for free!). I just couldn't resist.

So I bought two blushes - funnily enough the blushes were on sale so I managed to get my hands on 2 for $20 :)

Apparently the blush covers are designed by artists Juliette Buré and Nathalie Lété - they are super cute (you will realise that I have a massive obsession with France and Paris).

I also received in the mail today one of my Revlon lipstick purchases from Ebay (from beautiful_on_a_budget_with_darci).

The colour is "Coralberry" (I'm so into coral lately) and it was only $8.43 with postage!

(The actual colour is a bit more pink that how it shows up in the pic)

And to top it off I also got two deliveries from Gmarket (Korea's "Ebay") - a navy jacket and a coral / cherry red skirt! Altogether these cost like AUD$30 including postage. What a bargain :)

Well that is all for tonight...didn't realise how much effort was required in making a blog post! Serious admiration to all the amazing bloggers out there <3
